Always use a <a title=\"Hot Tub Covers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.backyardcitypools.com\/Spa-Cover.htm\" target=\"_blank\">hot tub cover<\/a>, and be sure to secure and lock it when the spa is not in use.\u00a0 Remind children frequently to stay away from the hot tub unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drains and Drain Covers <\/strong>&#8212; Spas and hot tubs should have at least two drains which\u00a0have compliant <a title=\"Anti-Entrapment Drain Covers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.backyardcitypools.com\/Swimming-Pools\/Anti-Vortex-Drain-Covers.htm\" target=\"_blank\">anti-entrapment drain covers<\/a>.\u00a0 Single-drain spas create a powerful suction that can entangle hair and entrap body parts, leading to injury and even death.\u00a0 Check the hot tub&#8217;s drain covers several times throughout the year.\u00a0 Replace damaged or missing drain covers immediately.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pump Shut-Off <\/strong>&#8212; Know the location of the hot tub pump&#8217;s shut-off switch.\u00a0 Turn\u00a0off the pump\u00a0immediately\u00a0in any emergency situation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Water Temperature <\/strong>&#8212; Keep the water temperature in your hot tub at or below 104 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alcohol Consumption <\/strong>&#8212;
