in your community.\u00a0 The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children how to swim.\u00a0\u00a0 A whopping 3,971 people from 34 states and 5 countries participated in this event in 2010 &#8212; you can help break that record in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;World&#8217;s Largest Swimming Lesson&#8221;\u00a0was put together by a coalition of the nation&#8217;s leading water safety and training organizations, including the\u00a0International Swim Instructors Association,\u00a0National Recreation and Parks Association, United States Swim School Association, and the World Waterpark Association, among others.\u00a0 By raising awareness about water safety, these organizations hope to reduce incidents of accidental drowning, which is the second leading cause of death for children ages 1-14.<\/p>\n<p>To find out where you can participate in the &#8220;World&#8217;s Largest Swimming Lesson&#8221;
