• Silver / Space Age covers Reflect heat back into the pool rather than allowing as much new heat in. These are the best at retaining heat already in the water and are ideal for cooler climates or for overnight use, but they may not heat the pool as dramatically as clear covers on a sunny day.

For most homeowners, a blue cover offers the best all-around performance. If your primary goal is maximum heating and your pool water chemistry is well-maintained, a clear cover may give you better results.
